The Diamond cutting process
Each of the wheels are detached from the tyres at the start of the process and will be prepared through a chemical stripping process. Any product will be removed so that it’s back to bare metal and the wheels are then prepped by hand and shot blasted.
Each wheel is quality checked before it is primered, then painted, in your choice of colour. Once the paint has been applied, a lathe with a diamond-tipped cutter will remove a thin layer of material from the face of the wheel until the desired effect is achieved.
Once the wheel has been cleaned and quality checked, a protective clear coat lacquer is applied. After the final quality check has been carried out, we check that the tyre is mounted and balanced before refitting it back onto the vehicle.
